| Country and Game Fairs
|
| Durham Branch of the Muzzle Loaders Association of Great Britain
aim to attend as many Game Fairs as possible in the area.
|
| In line with our objectives of promoting the sport we try to acquaint the public with the history and traditions of the sport and hence provide a number of displays : |
| Display of antique weapons | ||
| Shooting display of muzzle loading guns | ||
| History of the sport | ||
| Opportunity to talk with branch members |
| At the Teesdale Country Fair during May 1998 we were able to offer visitors the opportunity to see muzzle loading shotguns of various gauges, from 20 bore up to 4 bore, being used. |
| Where suitable facilities are available at Game Fairs we provide a display of antique weapons. These range from flintlocks through to early breech loaders and include shotguns, pistols, rifles and punt guns up to a cannon! |
