Question Four : Who is this?

He was born on 11 September 1951 and made his debut for his country in 1973 against Romania, in Bucharest. He played 49 times for his country (excluding a guest appearance against a Rest of the World side in 1999) and 8 times representing his continent. In all internationals he scored 530 points in a career that spanned 19 years. Carwyn James said of him : "To see ......... play was to have my faith in the possibilities of fly half play completely restored. Rarely have I seen such talent."

 

Question Five : Who is this?

Another fly half who made his debut against Romania, this time in 1985, he made his last appearance for his country in 1997 when he came on as a replacement for the final ten minutes of a game. All in all over his international career he amassed 396 points for his country, played in three world cups and on two Lions tours. His nickname sounds like he may have stood on a mouse but more likely reflects his reputation.

 

Question Six : Who is this?

Starting his career as a No 8, at 6 ft 4ins and 16 and a half stone he would be considered small by todays standards for his best known position in the second row, where he played 55 times for his country - a record at the time of his retirement but not now. Known as one of the hardest and most uncompromising forwards of all time he was sent off for foul play against Scotland at Murrayfield in 1967. It is said that he trained for rugby by running up hills with a sheep tucked under each arm. He had an arboreal nickname.
