D.A.G. was established in 1989 and gained charitable status in 1990. The group was formed by disabled people for disabled people. Scarborough D.A.G staff and volunteers assist disabled people, carers and those with an interest in disability issues.

Bridget, Manager Mission: To assist disabled people in Scarborough and district to achieve maximum independence and integration into society by providing services, information and advice.

D.A.G. can help you tackle issues such as:

  • access
  • equipment
  • accessible holidays and accessible hotels
  • benefits
  • leisure
  • transport
  • employment
  • discrimination
  • independent living

Office opening hours: 9:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday.

The office is wheelchair accessible, with a loop system, parking and toilet facilities for disabled visitors. Guide and assistance dogs are welcome.
