In October 2004, the responsibility of goods and services providers towards meeting the needs of disabled people will be tightened by amendments to the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). The new legislation means that anyone who offers a service to members of the public will be forced to address any physical feature that makes it impossible or unreasonably difficult to access a service.
