Our company was established in 1979 by David Sinden for the production of large and difficult optics for professional use. Previously he had been Chief Optician for the firm Grubb Parsons in Newcastle upon Tyne, who’s reputation for the manufacture of massive telescopes was famous world wide. For example……. the 3.9 metre Ritchey Chretien scope of the Anglo Australian Observatory, used by David Malin for his wonderful astro photographs.

David Sinden’s experience in amateur astronomy and combined with his work in professional optics is unique. After many enquiries over a period of time, we decided to become stockists for Meade and Celestron telescopes and accessories in 1999. This has proved most successful because we enjoy sharing our enthusiasm and knowledge in helping you to choose the scope to suit your budget and lifestyle.
Not forgetting our excellent after sales service!
